Song of the Mountains is the original, long running concert series that showcases the best in Bluegrass, Old-time, and Americana music from the heart of the region where it all began.
Now in its 16th season, Song of the Mountains is a nationally syndicated public television show staged and produced in the historic Lincoln Theatre in Marion, Virginia by the the Appalachian Music Heritage Foundation. It is The State Television Show of Virginia.
From the beginning, Song of the Mountains has depended on volunteers, grants, and underwriting to fund its production. Ticket sales alone could never support a television production of this quality. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on show production and attendance has endangered the very existence of this revered show.
In response to this dire situation, we are redoubling our efforts to ensure the continued production of the show and even making it bigger and better than ever!
